Strategic Patent Partners for Innovators

Aurora Consulting started its journey in 2012 as Hudak Consulting Group. Its founder, Jessica Hudak, witnessed firsthand the struggles start-ups faced in finding strategy-minded patent professionals, protecting their technology, and staying within a budget. She wanted to create a firm in which its professionals worked with start-ups as their dedicated “in-house” patent professional, rather than as an outsider billing for every phone call, meeting, and email. Jessica wanted to provide her clients with someone who would understand the technology as well as the engineers and scientists in the company, appreciate the nuances of an effective IP strategy, and tie it effectively to the company's business objectives. Further, knowing that IP budgets are limited, she wanted start-ups to know the bottom line before any work was started and to benefit from transparent flat rate billing along the way. Hudak Consulting Group, now Aurora Consulting, was born out of these ambitions.
